We didn’t think we could love Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev or jewelry brand gorjana more than we do now, but we were wrong. In an effort to raise funds and spread awareness of epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a painful and life-threatening genetic disorder, the two have joined forces on a 24-piece curated selection of Dobrev’s favorite gorjana pieces, with 50 to 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF).
The cause holds a special place in gorjana founder Gorjana Reidel’s heart who, as a mom of two, first connected with the foundation almost a decade ago after meeting a mother whose son was diagnosed with EB. As such, the “Nina 4 EBMRF” collection is available now until May 14th, deliberately slated to coincide with Mother’s Day.
“As a mom, I really wanted to find a way to raise awareness and help the children and families affected by this painful and life-altering disorder,” Reidel said in a statement. “I am truly inspired by the strength and sense of community shown by those affected.”
The “Nina 4 EBMRF” collection encompasses delicate, whimsical gold jewelry pieces, with butterfly, star, and heart motifs, alongside bold black enamel standouts. Our favorites? In addition to the shimmery key ring, two-tone chevron necklace, and stacked bands (all pictured above), we adore the heart cut-out ring and the rose gold arrow cuff. Oh, and the star studs. Basically, everything. Now, it’s your turn: Show your support and shop the collection at gorjana-griffin.com.
