While their “Vampire Diaries” co-star Kat Graham covered the fashion on E!, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev did their Academy Awards celebrating in West Hollywood, where they attended Elton John’s Oscar party to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Dobrev was stunning as always in a J. Mendel black dress, complete with plunging neckline and edgy shoulder cut-outs. Somerhalder, per usual, gave James Bond a run for his money in his tux.
The night wasn’t just about fashion and glam for Somerhalder, though, who was at the event on behalf of GoGreen Mobile Power. He first spoke to Zap2it about the eco-friendly generator company, which he described as “a very strong green energy company that produces portable, mobile green power,” way back in June 2010.
At that time, the generator was just a prototype. Today, it was used at one of the world’s most exclusive and highly anticipated events. (Congrats, Ian!)
The generator used at the party used sustainable energy as opposed to the off-grid dirty energy that is often sourced at events or on film sets. Somerhalder has already made significant strides toward keeping “The Vampire Diaries” set as eco-friendly as possible. GoGreen Mobile Energy will continue to help him transform the television, film, and event industries, promising increased efficiency and a significantly reduced footprint.
