What is an Augustine vampire? More importantly, who is the Augustine vampire? We’re about to find out when The Vampire Diaries returns on December 5 for Season 5, Episode 9 (“The Cell”). Now that Damon has been captured by Dr. Wes, it’s up to Elena and Aaron to find him.
When Damon tells Elena “about a terrible ordeal in his past that he’s kept secret for decades” — aka his time as an Augustine vampire — Elena “shares disturbing information she learned about her own family.” We’re guessing this has something to do with her adoptive dad Grayson. The former Whitmore professor is looking more dubious by the second.
Meanwhile, Caroline comes to Stefan’s aide with an “unusual form of therapy.” Seeing how Caroline, Stefan, and Katherine are all going through a rough time, we’re hoping it involves alcohol.
