Nina Dobrev just won the best daughter of the year award.

“The Vampire Diaries” star surprised her mom with a trip of a lifetime this holiday season. Dobrev took her mother Michaela Constantine on a whirlwind adventure to the White House holiday party in Washington D.C. and then on to Rockefeller Center in New York City. Like we said, best daughter of the year.

“Took my mom to the White House last week where we saw @FLOTUS,” Dobrev tweeted on Wednesday (Dec. 16) along with the above photo. “We all agree every1 should #GetCovered #YourMomCares.”

That’s a holiday gift that will be hard to beat next year.
