Nina Dobrev has promised that the season finale of The Vampire Diaries will shock fans.
Speaking to The AP, Dobrev explained that the finale has to be better than all the other episodes.
“Every episode has to surpass the last,” she said. “So there’s cliffhangers, there’s a lot going on, a lot of information, fast-paced, people dying, blood. So the finale, it has to exceed all expectations and it has to shock even more, and it does.”
She continued: “There will be a couple of new faces that enter into the picture and a lot of suspense and some of the characters will do things that come as a shock and that you wouldn’t have otherwise expected.
“I remember reading the script for the first time and [at the] end of the season people are going to be frustrated and angry with some characters, shocked, excited. People are going to be talking and waiting very impatiently for the second season to start.”
Dobrev also hinted that Bonnie and Elena’s relationship will be a big part of the finale.
She said: “Bonnie and Elena, they have a long history together, they’ve been friends forever, and this presence of vampires is tearing them apart because Stefan and Damon are basically the direct reason why her grandmother passed away. So there’s a lot of tension there and their friendship is definitely going to be tested.”
